From a Nascent Dream to the Height of Success: Four Decades of Bruce McCorry’s
Forty years back, when Bruce McCorry, a young martial art enthusiast and teacher thought of giving shape to his dreams and passion in the form of a small martial art school, he never thought that he was laying the foundation stones of a legacy that was here to stay. Being one of the earliest and pioneering martial art schools in Peabody, Massachusetts, Bruce McCorry’s Academy has evolved into one of those rare martial art ventures that stood the test of time and made it into the 21st century.

What Bruce McCorry’s has to tell is a saga of success that arises from keeping the centuries of martial art traditions alive, keeping pace with the cutting edge research going on in the field of martial arts, and placing the interests of the learner above everything else. Within these four decades, the academy evolved different martial art courses spread across many age-segments, built a core group of experienced instructors, and contributed greatly to the field of martial arts education in the US.
